Birmingham joins the school foundation community

Mountain Brook has one, Vestavia Hills has one, Hoover has one and, by the end of the year, Birmingham will have a schools foundation, too.

The Birmingham City Schools Foundation, incorporated this week, is a resident-led nonprofit organization designed to provide financial support for city schools as well as community influence over them.
