Chambers of Commerce across the country hold an annual contest to honor a resident for their service in the community.  In Kremmling, Colorado, The West Grand Community Educational Foundation, however, honors citizens each year who have supported the school district and the community by hosting a “Citizen of the Year’ Contest.  This annual event among other fundraising initiatives has resulted in more than one million dollars in gifts and donations being realized by the Foundation since it was organized as outlined in the link above.
